box jQuery Slideshow Plus

With the jQuery Slideshow Plus Dreamweaver extension you can create great looking jQuery based slideshows that will help you show your pictures in a beautiful and user-friendly way. To save time, you can start from one of the 20 professional designs that come with the product and use the design editor app to customize it and make it blend perfectly with your website. There is no need to code or know jQuery and CSS as all the settings are done quickly from the Dreamweaver interface.

4. Changing the slideshow design

The jQuery PowerSlideshow comes with and Adobe AIR application for easy design changes. The application is composed of two modules:

  • color scheme editor - used to modify the colors of all the assets used in a skin
  • background design editor - used to modify background images of the sliders by changing their design, colors, shadow or border

Color Scheme Editor

The Color Scheme Editor can be opened from the main interface of the jQuery PowerSlideshow extension. From this interface you can manage the color of various slider elements:

  • background
  • buttons
  • navigation elements
  • text
Activate inspector

Once you are satisfied with the colors you choose you can save your scheme for later usage by using "Save As" button. The newly created color scheme will appear in the color schemes list on the right of the main interface.

Background Design Editor

The Background Design Editor can be opened from the Extend Inspector by either clicking the "edit design" button and you can separately edit the background for both Slideshow Background and Slideshow. From this tab you can chose a large list of predefined backgrounds. They are split in three categories:

  • gradient backgrounds - simple backgrounds that have a two color gradient defined.
  • pattern backgrounds - more complex backgrounds that use drawn graphical elements.
  • custom backgrounds - customized backgrounds that you created.

After you select a background you can:

Activate inspector
  • edit its gradient
  • change its colors
  • add a shadow (you can choose from 14 different shadows)
  • add border and padding
  • add round corners to images

Whenever you want to customize gradient, borders and shadow you need to enable them by pressing on the "on" button from the correspondent tab and then apply the desired settings.
