is it possible to change the location (directory) of the auto created "includes" folder ?rnin my case its always created outside of my "site root" so its useless

Hello,
The includes folder should be created in the root folder of the current Dreamweaver site you are working in. It's not placed there?
Check the settings of your Dreamweaver site. Maybe you defined the root folder incorrectly.

my server root folder is not the same as my sites root folder (htdocs)
I do not how I could tell dreamweaver to put the includes folder in the htdocs folder

Hello,
When you are creating and configuring the dreamweaver site you can name the site as the root folder and then you can set the path to the site from "Local Site Folder" field. Here are two tutorials about configuring Dw sites:
