I have followed the instructions to add multiple pages but everytime I click "insert" I get a pop-up asking for the layout name. When I type the layout name I get an error message "This name is already used. Please rename the layout."

Hello Diana,

The workflow depends on what you want to do. Basically that tutorial shows you how to create a layout and use it as a starting point for other pages layouts. But, you will just use the layout from the gallery as a starting point. In the end you will have a separate layout for each page. That's why you can't insert a layout with the same name.

If you want to use the layout from the gallery as a template you can use the Dreamweaver templates. Insert the layout from the gallery on a dwt file and create the other pages as instances of the template.
