When I go to basic and choose a category> after I choose the category and layout I go to my customize the layout. After I customize the layout and use the insert button my include files do not appear in the folder I created for them. For some reason it appears outside my site folder. It works sometime if I am not using that category button.
Is there a step I'm missing when managing my sites or creating a file?

Hello,
From what I understand you have a single Dreamweaver site created and multiple websites inside, each in his own folder. And you want to insert a layout inside one of them. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The includes folder is placed on the root folder of the Dreamweaver site no matter where the HTML placed inside that site. If you want to move it from there you will have to update the links to the css files accordingly.
If you want each website to have its own includes folder rather than a global one in the root, you have to create a new Dreamweaver site for each one of them.

I have one website created, though I did set up multiple sites (earlier) in order to test the plug-ins. Is there a way to reset the plug in after creating one site, and moving to the next?
What's happening to me the include folder is appearing outside the root folder, I do have my html file inside that same root folder.
each time I create a new Dreamweaver site, the same issue happens, I go through the managing a new site and I get the same results.
