Heya Cristian!

I just came on here to download the FlexiPanels for CS5 and see that FlexiLayouts is near ready! This is great news and by watching the two videos it looks like it would be a super tool!

What is the difference right now between the trial and the purchased? I can't find that info on the website. I am just about to redo a customers website and would love to tryout FlexiLayouts for it.

Looks awesome!

Hi Brad,

The trial version is limited to 10 days, but all the features are the same as in the full version.

Hi and thanks for developing this tool. I just downloaded the trial version and I have one (potentially stupid) question:

How do I reenter the module to modify the layout I'm working on?

When I open it (from insert menu), it starts a new layout. I tried clicking "save to gallery" to see what would happen and it proposed the name of the layout that I'm still working on even though it was not the one appearing inside the module. So something seems a little confused. And I have no idea how to modify the existing layout. Can you help?

Theoretically I like the concept, but I think it needs some more tweaking. Is there a way to make it "refresh" the page when you hit preview instead of opening separate browser windows?

Thanks.

Hi Debora,

to re-edit a layout you just click on edit like in the image below:

Let me know if this works for you, then we can discuss the other points as well.

I am using the trial version and have been liking it. However, now when I try to edit my Flexi CSS layout, a message pops up that says "Type Error: root has no properties.

Before I purchase the product, can you help me with this problem?

Hi Marnie,

This error appears when you have broken HTML content. Most likely if you have entered content, it;s something wrong with the tags or maybe you have accidentally deleted something. The easiest way to debug is either having the site somewhere online so we could have a look, either sending a zip with the page you are working on and the /includes folder to support@extendstudio.com

Thanks for your quick reply, Cristian.

Your jpg shows the same options that appear in the main DW menu at the top (insert/Flexi CSS Layouts) and in the insert tool bar.

However, clicking Edit opens the module with a layout that doesn't correspond to the one I want to edit. And the "new" layout is not even completely blank. It already displays 1 row with two columns. But MY test layout has 3 rows and the 1st one is split into 2 columns. If I do Preview with the "new" layout, it doesn't pull in the text from my test page so the module is not "seeing" my test layout for some reason.

My test page is open and active and I have only created this one page with the tool.

Are other users able to correctly edit a current layout?

It would be nice to be able to right-click the blue div name and open the editor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

It's a bit hard to say without seeing the code but it might be that you have a bigger layout in which you have inserted a smaller one? That would explain why you have different things.

Could you please make a zip with your current page, the includes folder and screenshots to show exactly the case you are describing?
Send it to support@extendstudio.com and will have a look in the morning.

Thanks,
Cristian
