Hiya. I just bought FlexiPanels for Dreamweaver (CS5.5) today and found, when installing, that Extension Manager claims that an existing extension, Horizontal Glide Menu (Studio VII) conflicts.

Is there a solution?

And I will look to see if ExtendStudio has a comparable product to HGM as well - I'm just glad it's only one conflict I'm having as opposed to five... :)

Thanks!

Hello David,

Strange that you receive an error on installation. There shouldn't be any conflict on installation as the two extension should use separate files.

Plus, if there is a file that's used by the same extensions it should've asked you if you want to replace that file, not give you an error that the two extensions conflict.

It's easy to uninstall the HGM extension and reinstall it afterwards? I think that you can try to install Flexi PanelsCSS first and see if Extension Manager gives any errors when you install HGM afterwards.

We can do a desktop sharing session if you want and I can assist you with the installation of the extension. I can send you an email with instructions for the connection.

I found out there's a fun bug between OS X and Dreamweaver; I had to restart my Mac and then FlexiPanels installed.

But I've come across a new issue:

Clicking on 'insert panel', I get a 'You need to define a site for the component to work!' message. (I also haven't seen any screen asking for my serial # yet...)

What else could be going on?

Thanks!

Hello David,

You need to have a site defined in Dreamweaver in order to use the extension.
A Dreamweaver site makes it easier to manage and control your website.

After you have a site defined, you need to save a page inside that site and then you can use the extension on that page.

You can read here about how to create a site and how it will help you in your development:
