Hi friends!
Menus don\'t automatically update on multiple pages as the tutorial suggested it should. (The sample down load link is broken BTW). Realize this is a broad question, but is there some trick/quirky detail that has to be addressed to make this work?
Essentially I did as follows:
1. Created a fresh site
2. Created a blank page; created, named, and inserted a menu.
3. Created a second page (and for kicks, a third). Inserted said menu in each. Worked fine.
4. Returned to first page, edited menu. Clicked \"Save To All Pages\"
5. Checked pages 2 and 3. Menu there unaffected.
6. Tried various permutations - pages 2 & 3 open, while menu changed, closed while menu changed, no difference.
Would much appreciate any suggestion; likely something I\'m missing. Otherwise excellent utility; very pleased with it.

Also, sorry for all the extra characters.... I'm blaming the dog.

Hello,
And I apologize for this late answer!
Can you tell me what exactly are you trying to edit and it's not saved in all pages? Are you renaming the files after inserting the menu there?
There is a file in the Includes folder called menus.cfg, which shows which menu corresponds to which page.
Please open it with notepad and check if the menu that you have inserted corresponds to all pages created.

No worries Elena!
1. My edit I described above I just added one button. (Nothing complicated - I'm just using your basic default choices, menu, and names for horizontal dropdown static menu.) Worked okay on the original page. But any other page the menu is on don't update. I've tried all kinds of permutations of 'updating menu', then 'save to all pages', files all open, files all closed. Closing/reopening site, etc.
2. Not renaming files afterward.
3. Menu.cfg file appears to be okay. Reads as follows:
{"FlexiMenu1":{"urls":["menustructure.html","indexpage1.html","indexpage2.html"]}}
Probably something really basic I'm missing....like forgetting to turn on the power....but I'm missing it....
Best regards, Andrew

Hi Elena I thought I would try again and see if I can get a response. I am looking for an eta on the fix for this extension. Is there any ETA on when the fix will be posted. Your response would be appreciated.
I would recommend any Mac users wanting to purchase the extension to wait until the patch is posted. Its a great extension but a huge piece (global change function) missing/bug for mac).
Thanks Again
John

Elena -
It's time Extend made resolution of this issue a priority: It's a serious bug which essentially neuters the usefulness of the program on the OS X platform. That I get an email today promoting a new product - XPOSE Galllery - when after three months you haven't bothered even to fix the broken link to the archived files in the documentation, is frankly insulting. ("Extract the following archive and copy the two .html files in the local root folder of your Dreamweaver site" = page not found). This is an otherwise good product, I've been respectfully patient realizing you're probably a small group with limited resources and competing demands, but at this point I'd go one step further than John Benyik's comment: not only should people refrain from buying the product, you should discontinue it. A key capability you claim for it is fraudulent.
Warmest regards,
Andrew

Elena,
When will this issue be resolved? I have not been able to use this product in any meaningful sense since I purchased it, as many of its key features simply do not work on a Mac, including the use of Presets (just defaults to an Extend Studio menu, regardless of Preset settings), Save to All pages (does absolutely nothing as far as I can see) and most annoyingly, Update Menu does not seem to update the menu across all pages in which it has been used.
Judging by this thread, customers have been more than patient waiting for a fix; at this stage, it's time for Extend Studio to stand up and say what you intend to do about this problem and when, if ever, a fix will be provided.
If a fix is not to be provided, then it's fair for all purchasers of this product on the Mac platform be given a refund immediately as the product simply has not worked as advertised.

Elena,
Is it possible that this fix has nullified previous fixes for an IE 7, 8 & 9 problem? I have installed this latest fix (for the Update All Pages problem), but now the menu/s do not seem to appear in Internet Explorer 9 using Document Mode IE9 standards. (It can work in Document Mode IE8 standards).

Since the current fix to "Update all Pages" is killing IE function, is is possible for you to tell us what changes manually have to be made in the code to make it work? It's laborious, but it's a stopgap until you can come up with a fix, and a route I'd prefer rather than simply revert to the original version which required us to amend menus page by page.
In theory this deserves a new thread, but I assume the "Update all Pages" fix you emailed is experimental and not yet incorporated in your official version....?

Hello Andrew,
We have tested this and the new fix for updating all pages shouldn't come in conflict with the IE fix.
It would be great if you could send us a link from your page so that we can see exactly what happens there.
Thank you!
Best Regards,

Elena -
Have a look at www.sonicshock.com/ES Simple site - menus displayed aren't linked to anything (there are just two pages - 'index.html' and 'index2.html'). But Adobe Browserlab is telling me the menu doesn't display in any version of IE.
Admittedly, Browserlab isn't perfect/

Hello again Andrew,
I have tested this page in IE and indeed, the menu is not displayed. I have sent you a fix by e-mail and all the instructions.
Let me know when you've replaced the file and if you still get that message in Adobe Browserlab.
Best Regards,
Elena Tepardea

Okay, I have to make public apology to Extend Studios. The most recent problem appears to have been a corrupted hard drive in my own machine. It now being replaced, menus seem now to all be working well in all browsers. Thank you so much for your close support and patience.
