I have a http page that I made and then copied into another site root.

The menu that i created in the original page and site works correctly however the same page with the same coding will not show the png/giff images of the menu buttons.

I have copied the whole file directory of the first site to the new site in dreamweaver and tried to update the menu through the fleximenu extention but the image files for the menu buttons are still missing.

Hello Tim,

Is the page where you moved the menu on the same folder level as the original one?

You can try to use presets to move a menu from a site to another. Just save your menu as a preset and then load it in the new site.
