Hi Extendstudio teamrnrnI've placed a fleximenu (horizontal dropdown) inside a flexipanel content container. The expanded menu however is longer than the content area (fit to content does not work) and goes underneath the flexi panel footer.rnrnI've played around with positioning the panel content container (absolute, relative and z-index), as well as wrapping the menu inside an extra div with positioning. None of these methods would solve the issue.rnrnAny ideas, workarounds?

Hi Willi,

a quick workaround for this issue would be the following (be sure you are in Split View in DW):

- inside your html page select the Footer div element (the code for it will be highlighted)

- just above the highlighted code expand the currently collapsed code which also refers to the Footer div element and add the following parameter right after the Height parameter: z-index:1

- test in browser

To have a better idea of what I'm talking, please see this video (click on HQ so you'll see it at a bigger resolution):

Hope it helps,

Hi, just recently purchased FlexiPanels - great product. Although I'm a novice with Dreamweaver CS4, I was playing around with FlexiPanels and ran into the same problem. I created a drop-down horizontal menu only to find it hidden behind/underneath the panel(s).

I did find this 'work around fix' and tried it, it did work but this is kind of a hassle if I have to repeat the 'fix' each time I want to add a menu. Is it possible to have maybe an update to where the "Height parameter: z-index:1 " is the default to avoid having to edit the panel code each time? Just wondering....

I think FlexiPanels are great - I had actually been looking for a program or extension that did just this and stumbled onto it by accident and glad I did. I have wasted many 'bucks' on some pretty worthless programs/products but that is not the case with FlexiPanels. I predict this extension is going to be a huge hit everywhere except in your wallet.

Thanks
Dell

Hello,

We will think about this and maybe we can put that z-index parameter directly in the interface. This way, it will have a default value and it would be easy to modify.

Happy to hear that you like our extension. If you have any imprevement ideas or features requests, don't hesitate to tell us.

Regards,
Andrei
