Hello,

Currently we don't support special characters. We are working on this and an update will be released soon.

Hello, I just purchased FusionCharts for Dreamweaver today and have been trying to get it to work.

First off I keep getting the following javascript error with virtually everything I try to do with it:

While executing, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
SytaxError: missing ) after argument list

I'm running DreamWeaver CS3 version 9 build 3481

I can't get it to insert a simple chart manually and I have been struggling for hours as to how to connect it to a mySQL database.

Help please as I'm starting to feel like I wasted $80.00.

Also when ever I try to click on the OK button to create the chart, i get the following message:

Another chart with this name already exists!
Save chart with the next available name : ? (choose NO to change it manually)

Even if I rename the chart I get the same thing.

Also in the above post, I am able to connect to mySQL database through Dreamweaver, I just don't see a way to attach it to the charts. There are only three options manual, CSV and XML.

Hello,

Firstly, we apologize for these errors and for the inconveniences they brought.

I don’t know exactly why you receive various javascript errors. Usually these disappear after a Dreamweaver file cache cleaning.

Dreamweaver CS 3 cache locations on different operating systems:

Windows Vista:
Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaver 9languageConfigurationWinFileCachesome_number.dat

Windows XP:
Documents and Settings<Your User Name>Application DataAdobeDreamweaver 9 language ConfigurationWinFileCachesome_number.dat

MAC OS X
User/library/application support/adobe/Dreamweaver 9/language/Configuration/MACFileCachesome_number.dat

(note: “some_number” = some random number that Dreamweaver generates when he creates the file )

To connect to a database you must use “Dynamic charts”. To insert a dynamic chart, to use with data from a MySQL database, you must create a new PHP page. The connection can be made directly (using the built-in query builder) or with the use of Dreamweaver recordsets.

Hello Again,

I have deleted the dreamweaver cache file several time and still continue to get the same javaSscript error. I get this error when the extension is loading and with just about every click.

I have been able to connect to a mySQL database and preview a chart, but when I click on the OK button I get a message that the chart name already exists. I doesn't matter if I try to rename it manually or let it automatically assign it the next available name – it gives me the javaScript error again and then does nothing. It will not create a chart on the page.

Thinking maybe there shouldn't be anything added to the page, I previewed the page in a browser only to get a mySQL error message that the file did not exist.

I purchased this extension to make life easier and it has turned out to cost me much more then the $80.00 I spent on it as I have thus far spent over 15 hours trying to get it to work.

Help! If you can't find a solution to this issue then I want a full refund.

Hello,

Could you please tell me what username you have on your computer? We think that you have some special characters that ruin the way we read the parameters and that's why you are getting that js error. If we get that error fixed, you will have no more problems, because the other problems are connected to the first one.

Best regards,

Hi Andrei,

I have no idea what you mean by the username on my computer? What difference would that make? I really need to get this working or I want my money back....

Hello,

I was referring to the name of your account on the computer. It’s very probable that something breaks the parameter string that we receive and that’s why the extension it’s not working. This could be either a special character in the account name or if you have the operating in a different language than English.

Kind regards,
Andrei Rinciog
