Hi - I was having a problem with a slideshow taking too long to load. I removed the attached mp3 file from the slideshow and it loads much quicker now. The mp3 is only 1.3mb. Anyway to speed up loading the slideshow while still using the mp3?

Hello Jennifer,

Other solution than making the sound file smaller I don't have.

Best regards,

The only thread i could find kind of on my topic.

What audio formats can be used here for this extension? I tried to use an m4a of something i created in Logic Studio, it wouldn't open it. I converted it to an mp3, it opened, but wouldn't play when on the web.

The audio file is not corrupted, as just to exclude that possibility, i went with a pair of USB speakers to my server and played the audio file. The issue seems somehow limited to how the image show pro scripts are handling the audio.

In addition to my post above, let me reply to the first post here with something that might be helpful.

First, What kind of internet connection do you have? A slower connection where you tried will take much longer to load then other computers on a faster connection. Doesn't matter if where your server is has Gigabytes and gigabytes of network throughput, data will only transfer as fast as the clients' devices' capability.

Second, if you have software which converts audio and can use multiple compression format and ratios, try taking that mp3 and make it an AAC, then a WAV, then back to MP3. That ought to get a 1.3mb file down to a 500 or less kb.

Hope that helps.
