Im not sure whats at issue here other than probably IE7.
After creating a set of image fade in and outs looped and shuffled the images do not show up until I float the mouse over them.
Is there an IE 7 hack or fix for this in the JS or somewhere else?

Thanks

Im sorry I have taken it down. I don't have the luxury of leaving it up as this is a production site for a client in a real hurry (yes I know, test first which I did with the demo version, yet not well enough as I neglected to test multiple instances on a single page in a Joomla template. The single instance worked fine in a Joomla template using the demo version.) -My disadvantage not yours.

What I suspect to be the relevant details:
I have tested it from multiple computers and under Firefox. The problem only exists when using IE 7.0.6 with the current flash player 9 and when there are multiple image instances on one page. Firefox worked fine. A single instance worked with IE 7 but not multiple.
The pictures wont show up until the mouse is rolled over the image areas. You dont have to click on them just hover or move the mouse pointer over the position were this images are, and then they display as intended.

On a side note, that Im guessing is unrelated but potentially could be related, is there seems to be some sort of display conflict in Dreamweaver with another extension from Media 65 which is a Joomla template builder assisting tool. Unfortunately Im not in a position to wait for a fix on the IE 7 issue and have decided to use another product that is not causing any issues with IE 7 or the Media 65 extension. (Im not mentioning the product here out of respect for you and your customer base)
I am not entirely enthusiastic about your product but I do understand that some issues cant be planned for, speaking of the Media 65 extension conflict.

On the other hand, since IE 7s adoption rate is so high I would have figured the multiple instance/display issues I came across (duplicated on several machines) would have been identified early on in the development of the product. Nevertheless, for a quick solution for those who dont want to be dependent on Adobe Flash, nor require its applicable use beyond the simplest of capabilities, it should be sufficient.

Regardless, the product just didnt meet my needs and what I thought was going to save me several hours on a project has now however cost me several hours. At this point Im unsure whether or not I should return the product/request a refund

Hi Anthony,
First of all I want to tell you that I understand the motives behind your decision. But it would have helped us seeing exactly what is happening and why is happening. Also it will help us a lot if you can tell what exactly was happening with the Media 65 extension.
The product worked with multiple instances during tests and it is very strange what you are reporting.
Regarding the refund, unfortunately we cant give you one at this point, but as a compensation we can change the product with another one from our product list.

Regards,
Catalin Serban

I have inserted images on my site and can view them locally through Internet Explorer 7 and Firebox by using F12 in Dreamweaver. However, when I upload them, I cannot see the images on the website.

www.librarybar.es is the active site. You will see the Summer Happy Hour Special image under the picture of the bar on the main index page. If you click the tag for "Happy Hour", you will see the same image in the center of the page.

www.librarybar.es/indexback.html is the same page except that the images on those two pages were inserted with Image Show Pro. Look at the Home page and the Happy Hour tab and the images will not appear. However, if I keep tapping on the space for the image on the Happy Hour tab, once and a while I will see a blue box appear.

Do you know why I cannot see the images on the web, but can when Dreamweaver launches the IE7 and Firefox locally.

Thanks

Hello Brian,

I have looked at the link you have sent us and noticed that the following swf file is missing:

includes/ImageShowPro/xtdbannerpro.swf.

Please upload the "Includes" folder (which is created automatically by the extension) to the server. This folder contains all the product assets, like js scripts, swf files and others. If the problem still persists, please send us the archived site.

Kind regards,
Lavinia Iancu

Hi,

I need some live help with an issue I have creating three different shows under the demo version:

I created three different shows using the demo version to show my client how it will look like. After creating the two first one and saving my presets I went ahead creating a third show using the preset of one of the 2 previous shows. Now, instead of having my second show displaying the images I've chosen and the effects I set up, I see the third show images with the presets of my third show. What happened, why did I lose my second show? Is it because it's a demo version?

Second issue I have, my client doesn't really like the quality of the images displayed in the shows, they are complaining of having the pictures pixelated and I agree with them. I used images that are 1000 x 669 px, these should be big enough to display clearly. Can you please let me know if there is something I can do to make these pictures look as good as they are originally.

Thank you!
Geraldine

Hello Geraldine,

The demo version of Creative DW Image Show allows you to use all the functions existent in the full version, the only difference being that it adds a watermark on the result.
We couldn't reproduce the problem with the three image shows and their presets, and presets shouldn't interfere with the images in the show's structure, only their options.
In order for us to understand more about the problems, please send us and email at <a href="mailto:support@extendstudio.com">support@extendstudio.com</a>. We would need a copy of the image you are using (and which doesn't display as detailed as expected) and a link to a webpage containing these three image shows.
I hope you are enjoying working with our product and I am looking forward to your answer, so that we can solve your problem.

Kind regards,
Jon Stanciu

Hi, I've built a page using Creative DWImage Show Pro - here http://www.graceandstyle.com.au
Everything seems to be working ok but my client has just informed me the 'show' doesn't load on their pc, until they move their mouse over it.
Is this a glitch? Can you investigate? Thanks, Michael

My client is using IE7 (on PC). The same also happened when I first viewed the page in Opera on Mac.
Thanks

Michael - I can see the pages with no problem using IE7 or IE8, plus Firefox. The pages look very good.

I had problem somewhat similar until I uploaded the includes sub-directory to the webserver.

Good luck.

Slide show does not display at all on Windows VISTA IE7/IE* or Firefox.

Worked fine on XP.

All includes are on server as this worked before. I switched from a dedicated to a shared server.. are there specific server settings required for this software to work?

I searched the product documentation but couldn't find information on how to speed up the loading of the first image in the slideshow. I've created a show and uploaded to my site's home page (actually 2 shows the top sale banner and the product images) but there is a fairly long lag before the first image loads. Is there a way to improve the load time or to set the show so that the first image displays as soon as the web page loads?

You can see it at http://ww.dropwise.com

Thanks for any help with this.

Bump because I'd like to see the answer. Have posted it here recently and so far have not received an acceptable workaround for MSIE.
