I have a map that I want to have load in the center of the page, but the scroll area is much bigger than the map. (also, there is a zoom functionality for getting a better view of different areas on the map.)

My scroll area is 1280x1024px , and my map starts out around 500x500px I want to be able to throw the object around the stage even though it's smaller than the scroll area as well as have it load in the center of the scroll area.

Can Scroll Area take into consideration the change in dimensions of my map when i zoom in as well?

is this possible?

Hello,

You could try the cDimCheck() method. More information about it here : http://www.extendstudio.com/documentation/creative-flash-scroller/documentation/docs/classic-scroller-as-methods.html

Hi Andrei, thanks for the speedy reply!

it appears that the scrolling function works fine when i have zoomed in without the cDimCheck() method...what is really of interest to me is the centering of the small map in the scroll area and possibly being able to scroll the map even though it is smaller than the scroll area. is this possible? is there more documentation on the cDimCheck() method in case i am not fully understanding its capabilities?

i have placed a sample at this location to give you and idea of what I'm trying to do...
