Update: I can possibly chalk up the scrollbar not showing up in Safari as a caching problem which may be solved. But no matter what, the scrollbar does not show up in Firefox on WIN or MAC. If I remove the preloader and embed the swf directly in the page, and view in Firefox--sometimes I can see a box where the scrollbar should be next to the scroll area for a split second before it disappears. I DO NOT mean I can see the scrollbar, and track and knob for a split second-- just a box.Please advise on fixing this.
