Hi,
I'm using a demo of your scroller, with the tutorial "How to create a slideshow using scroll area" and wondered whether it's easy to add an alpha fade to the over state on the "scroll" buttons and how it would be done?

Hi Dan,

Those scroll buttons are completely independent from the scroll area itself. You can draw or animate them any way you want. From what I understand in your post you want a button that has a fade effect on roll-over.

To do that, create a new movieclip on the 'over' frame and place in it a fade animation. The basic idea of a fade effect is to place a graphic with alpha 1 on a keyframe and then the same graphic with alpha 0 on another keyframe. Then you must create a tween between them. I'm sure that you can easily find tutorials on this on the net. You can also ask me if you need more help.
