Hi -
All your submenu tamplates appear on the right. I want the opposite.
I 'm overlapping the submenu by about 300 px to get it to show up on the left of the main menu. However, in Preview Mode the menu hugs the left of the screen so I can't see what I'm doing unless I publish the swf.
Also -where is the setting to change the arrow which indicates a submenu? I want it to face left, precede the text.
Thanks,
JL

Hello Josh,
The menu has many features, but, unfortunately, for the moment we dont offer this one. What you have done is a workaround which can cause many unpredictable problems.
Regarding the repositioning of the arrow, this can be achieved from the arrow setting (which you can find in the Layout tab).
Regarding the direction change of the arrow, you should import the skin in your library, search for the arrow movie clip and modify it accordingly.
In order to avoid a potential problem to this workaround, you should set a minimal size to the submenu.
Best regards,
Monica Chitu.

Monica- thanks for the reply.
Other Flash Vert users might be interested in how this came out...
http://www.newpixelcity.com/LVA/2/index.html
The links are active but only the index.html has the correct swf embedded.
Would anyone venture a guess as to what may have gone wrong with the submenu for "Special Events"?
Notice how it overlaps the main menu while none of the other submenus do.
Any suggestions are welcome.
JL

Hello Josh,
As I mentioned in my last post, you should set a minimal size to the submenu, which should be greater than the maximal size of your buttons. Then you should set the submenu overlap.

Monica Chitu.

Monica -
It turns out that after taking the steps you suggest the issue persists.
The best solution I've found is to shorten the text in the link "Celebration of Reading" - it's that long string of characters that is stretching the sub menu to the right. I'm not sure if my customer will approve shortening the text.
Is there a way for me to put a carriage return or somehow break the phrase up into 2 lines? That would be awesome.
Thanks,
Josh

Hello Josh,
There is a simple solution to your problem and you do not have to shorten the text in the "Celebration of Reading" button. Here's what you should do: put a "
" in the text at the exact point where you want a carriage return. That's it.
I hope this solves your problem, if not, please contact us and send us the link of the site you are working on in order for us to better help you.
Sincerely,
Monica Chitu.

Monica -
did not work...not with single or double quotes.
I entered it directly in my text file, menu.xml. When I used the interface, entered the path to my XML file, and tried to edit the menu structure "visually", my menu was not there. The default "visual" xml was there. So the only place I could put "
" was in my own menu.xml file.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Josh

Hello Josh,
The
should be put without the quotes. Just
.
The XML file overrides the menu structure interface.

Monica - What I meant in my previous post was that
did not work. I tried it without quotes and then tried it with single and double quoutes.
What I see after adding
is:
Celebration
of Reading
The
simply renders as part of the string.
Sorry for the confusion. Any other suggestions?
Josh
