I'm using Creative Verticle Menu in a Flash .exe file that will be placed on a CD for distribution. How do I get the menu buttons to open a .pdf file I have on the same CD? Thanks for your help.

Hello Scott,

You can use each button of the menu to call an ActionScript function. Follow this tutorial to see how you can do that : http://www.extendstudio.com/documentation/creative-fl-dropdown-menu/documentation/

Afterwards you can do basically whatever you want and you can do it from ActionScript. You can open pdf files with the “getURL” function but they will be opened in a browser. I don’t know any other way and I also found nothing reasonable on the web. If anyone has any ideea please share. :D
