When I embed font Verdana Bold on my submenu, it becomes so light on the transparent color background that they can barely be read.
1. Why is the background color transparent???
2. Why does the embedding make the font lighter?
3. I need to embed fonts, because my main menus appear in a different non-native font "Shadowed Germanica."

Note: When embed fonts is turned off, the submenu font brightens again. Strange! Need help with this ASAP, thanks!

Hi Mike,

There is an option for the submenu transparency level (Layout Tab -> Submenu Layout -> Alpha option). You can make the menu less transparent using that option.

Transparency cannot be applied on text that is not embedded so this is why the text was not transparent even if you have set the transparency for the submenu. When you embedded the font the transparency was applied to the text too and this is why it became less visible. What you have to do is decrease the level of transparency of the submenu and the text will become more visible.
