Thread: Lose menu when trying to insert or edit existing menu!!

Hi there,
When I create a menu in a new page everything works fine. When I try to insert the existing menu in a new page it says there is a problem reading the menu information. Then when I try to go back and edit the menu, it doesn't even show up...it's gone!!!
Then when I go back to the original page, the formating is gone and I get an error saying that the Javascript is gone.
Very frustrating. Do you have any suggestions how to handle this problem. At present, I must go to the folder and delete all of that work and start over again building a new menu.

Hello Alan,

That sounds strange. In the includes folder of your website you should see a txt file with the name of your menu. In that file it keeps all the pages the menu is on, using the list later to copy the edit the menu in all those pages. It seems like that txt file is not updated on your website, but it’s hard to think of a reason why this is not happening. Try creating a new website and use the menu on a blank page of a that new site. Maybe it has something to do with the site you are on.
