Some of the file syou need haven't been uploaded.

If you did upload them your site would look like this

http://www.celticwebsolutions.co.uk/menugina.html

Which I'm sure you'll be happy with :D

The files that seem to be missing are

includes/Creative Menus/menuDisplay.js
includes/Creative Menus/swfobject.js
you will also need to upload teh swf file, basically if you look in dreamweaver at eth local file viewer and click on the included directory and then click put, it will upload the files for you hopefully.

Also if you look under remote info in the site setup in dreamweaver you need to make sure you have 'Automatically upload files to server on save' selected.

If you need any help just give me a shout.

Thanks Huw :)

Gina,

Whenever you make a change to the menu, the change is reflected only in the HTML page and inside the includes folder (if you change the skin ). So, basically you only need to upload the page that you make modifications too and the includes folder.

If you make modifications in more than one page ( use the "apply changes in all pages" feature) you will need to upload all the pages that use the menu.

Regards,
Andrei

for the menu alterations to update to other pages you need to re - upload all the pages again, it does not upload all the pages for you, basically it updates all the local pages but does not transfer them, one of teh ways people find easiest is to open all the pages you want updated, then make the menu alteration (while ticking update all pages) once you make the alteration to one page it 'should' then say that all the other pages have changed and do you want to reload them from local, say yes then save them all again. Hopefully atht shoudl work for you :D

Still not working…..notice these pages…if you look under exposition I’m using the same menu AIST_2010 and one has the word (ADVERTISING) under the exposition and one does not.

My thoughts were i would just create ONE menu and embed it in the templates...but that is not working...like i stated before i have a HUGE site that i was going to use this on......but i'm going to look for something else...this has been just so frustrating.....

If i try to DELETE the menus from any pages it also says...locked by a template....blah blah...blah.....i don't understand why its so complicated unless i'm really missing something.

I can't even insert an existing menu it saying "making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The change will be discarded.

I'm inserting it into a "editable region"

Hello Gina,

You can’t insert the menu into an editable region using the extension insert button. The extension needs to place code in three places on your page. Even if the place where you want to insert the menu is editable, still, it would have to insert some code in the header and just above the body tag. Those two places cannot be accessed by the extension, even if they have editable regions. The best thing to do is to insert the menu directly inside the template ( I believe that you want the navigation system to be on all pages ). After that, you can treat the menu exactly the same as any other template object.

When you edit a menu that’s inside a template, the menu information is saved only on it. You will have to update all of the template instances for the menu to change on all of them.

If you want, I can help you with this by making a desktop sharing session.

Regards,
Andrei
