The other issues I was having had to do with registration of the software. It would not accept the serial number. I fixed that by resetting the serial number and then it would accept the serial number.
The preview not working in CS4 is the only remaining issue at this time.

there is a file WinFileCachesome_number.dat not WinCachesome_number.dat. I deleted it.
Let me know if this was incorrect so I can unerase it.

I have DreamweaverCS4 on Mac osx and I installed your demo and when I add a drop down menu
Dreamweaver crashes

Hello Tim,
Please tell me what version of DW you have and what operating system.
You could try to close Dreamweaver and then delete its file cache. Then start Dreamweaver again and try to insert a menu again.
Dreamweaver cache locations on different operating systems:
Windows Vista:
Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaverlanguageConfigurationWinFileCachesome_number.dat
Windows XP:
Documents and Settings<Your User Name>Application DataAdobeDreamweaver language ConfigurationWinFileCachesome_number.dat
MAC OS X
User/library/application support/adobe/DreamweaverCS/language/Configuration/MACFileCachesome_number.dat
(note: “some_number” = some random number that Dreamweaver generates when he creates the file )

Error
When I click on edit menu button I get this error message.
While executing onload in xtd_cm_choose.htm, the
following javascript error has occurred.
In file "xtd_cm_choose" fillCB is not defined.
