Hi,

When will there be an updated product?

Will it fix issues with IE?

What I'm looking for is a real WYSIWYG application, I don't want to mess with code (docutags) or anything else.

Can the IE issue be resolved in the next update?

And please don't ask what IE issues?

Thank you,

Eoin

Hello Eoin,

The next version of the Dw Menus is underway and it will be launched soon. The menus generally work Internet Explorer, but there are errors that appear on different pages, depending on the situation and how the menu is used on that page. The biggest issue is caused by not using a doctype on your page. You said that you don’t want to use a doctype. Well, that’s not a good way of designing your page. To be sure that your page looks the same on all the browsers you need to have a doctype attached to your page or else every browser will interpret the HTML code according to their own default doctype. That’s not a good thing even if you don’t use our menus.

Hi Andrei,

I didn't say I didn't want to use doctype! It is automattically created by dreamweaver so it's on every page I create. What I don't want to do is have to go messing with it, or any code where possible. I bought your products as I was sure they were WYSIWYG and that I wouldn't have any problems with them. As can be seen by these foroums, many, many people are having an issue with your product and IE. It's possibly the biggest complaint/problem.
When is the new product/update coming out? Are we talking weeks?,,, Months?,,,!

I too am interested in this update, will the updated version cure the validation errors when tested? When do you intend to release it?

Hello,

The next version is in the development phase at the moment. If everything goes well, we will release it sometime before the end of the next month. But I can’t assure you of anything else than the fact that we won’t release until we have a product that is as bug free as possible. We are sorry for all possible inconveniences from the validation errors and thank you that you don’t give up on our menu system.

Best regards,
