Hello,The web site menu created with the extension has dependent files. These files can be found in the includes? folder and are created when you insert a menu in a page. When you copied the menu form one page to another you just copied the menu description code, leaving includes? folder behind. In order to copy a menu from one page to another you have two options:1. If the new page is in the same Dreamweaver Site: use Insert Existing Menu? , the button can be found on the Insert? toolbar under the Creative Menus.2. If the page is in another Dreamweaver Site use the Presets Tab and save your menu as a preset. Then go to the new page, click to add a new menu and from the presets TAB choose to load your preset. ATTENTION! Please check load menu tructure? checkbox in order to have the structure copied too. Greetings,Catalin Serban

Can you tell me what version of HTML the code generated by this product validates under? When I use the product, I get many HTML errors from the validator, most of them having to do with the DIV tag and all the attributes with that. The site I am trying to get your menu to work on is: www.ccslions.comEven with all the validator errors, it works right on Firefox, but IE will not fly out the submenus. Thanks for any help as soon as possible.Karey

Hi, I just paid for the horizontal menu drop down builder. I deleted the demo and installed and registered the full versionbut I keep getting the button that links to your website on my pop up menu. How do I get rid of this link?

Hello KareyThe menus created with our components are using some custom attributes. These are necessary to the menu and dont interfere with your web page. In the near future we will come with an update to fix this problem. Catalin Serban

I just purchased the Horizontal Drop Down Menus product and registered it with my serial number. When I go to customize colors on any of the menu skins, it keeps using the default colors for the skin, even if the check box is unchecked. What am I doing wrong?

When you want to change the colors is not necessary to uncheck the checkbox. This is done automatically when you choose a different color with the given color pickers. Please send to support (@) extendstudio (dot) com 4 screenshots: one with the General tab before changing the colors, one with the General tab after, one with the menu after changing the colors and one with the General tab after you click edit menu. Also please send me the HTML where you have inserted the menu, with the menu inside. Thanks,Catalin Serban

Do you mean to say that in the purchased version of this product that the menu maintains a visible and/or unremovable link or identity to Extend?? That would never be acceptable for work delivered to a client.I am asking these questions because I am looking for a menu solution for my projects going forward, I bought the Flash menu component but I can't seem to get it to work as advertised. In fainrness I am still working with Extened support it may turn out that it is something I am doing wrong. Catalin suggested that I may get better results with the Dreamweaver menu but I feel like I need to do a little better research before I shell out my money again. Thanks,Al

Hello,The commercial version of the Dreamweaver extension does not contain any link to extenstudio.com. It is true that some users had problems switching from the demo version (that contains the link) to the commercial one on sites where the demo version was already implemented. We are assisting those users and we have also added a feature that will handle the version updating automatically. The updated version that will contain this feature along with a few other interface improvements will be available on the website in a few days. We are constantly working on improving the products based on user feedback.Your email regarding the problem you have encountered using the Flash extension has been answered and we will make it work once we get the FLA file (I think some skin assets are missing in your FLA). If there is any other reason that makes you say the product does not work as advertised, please post it so it can be clarified.Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

I'm using the Vertical Menu demo (downloaded yesterday) and I've got it tweaked in the way I want it. I'm ready to buy as it's a very cool extension. 1) When I preview it (Firefox 2 and IE7) the menu appears fine, and the first rollover menu expansion works fine, but moving to all other ones clips off and only shows about 10 pixels of the sub-menu on the right. A refresh fixes it for the first time rollover, but none after that work. Is this just an issue with the demo or preview? I can send a screen shot if needed.2) Under Preview with IE7, you get the dreaded "... IE has restricted this webpage from running scripts..." and the menu appears in a long list of text. When you allow it to accept the site, the menu works (with issue 1 still present). There are no other scripts in my test page. I notice your site doesn't have this issue. Is there a trick to not making IE7 annoy the user and fail to display the menu by default (or is this a preview or demo issue only)? I noticed your site doesn't cause this issue under IE7.

I also found it hard to locate. For DW8, use the drop down to the left of the icon toolbar. The default is "Common", but you may have it set to one of the other options. Using this drop down, near the bottom is a new option "Creative Menus". Once selected, you'll get a number of new icons for the extension. Perhaps Extend will create a screen graphic on the download page to make it obvious. I'd post it hear, but the forum is text only.

Hello Juli,You have to select the "Creative Menus" category in the Insert Bar. By default the "Common" category is selected. If you still have problems locating the extension, please let me know and I will send you a screenshot by email.Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

Hello Frank,The second issue only appears when testing the page locally (on your computer). IE7 has this warning so that no local page will be able to run scripts without the user knowing it. When you put the page on a web server this problem does not appear any more. That is why it does not appear on our website.Regarding the first issue: can you please send me a link or the HTML page by email at support[AT]extendstudio[DOT]com so I can see what happens there? Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

Hi there,Can anyone help?I've just downloaded teh vertical drop down menus, and although had difficulty locating teh installation on Dreamweaver (as had a few other people by teh sound of things), have found it a great extension. However, I have one issue, taht hopefully someone can help me on...I have created and inserted my menu in my template page. But when I publish teh file and view it on-line I can't view my sub menus. I'm wondering whether it has to do with the template regions?I need to know how to get teh submenus to show.

I am responding to my own post. With the help from someone at the extend studio I have finnally got the menu to work. The problem was somehow at the end of every string in my navigation tree the program added the following ,div this added an ID to each button with the name "div" this was automaticly added to each button. when i removed them everything worked great!!!! It also resolved all my issues working in templates. I am now able to add the menu into a locked area of a dreamweaver template and the menues update via dreamweaver update process. I think this problem orriginall occured when i attempted to update the menus on all pages with the extend extension I think thats when the ID="div" was added to each string. I hope this helps anyone else with any problemsJason Cantrell

Hi Alistair,The Creative Menus work with Dreamweaver templates so I don't think the template causes your problem. Are you testing your page locally, or on a web server? In case you are testing locally, please read the "Testing a page locally Security Warning" section of the product documentation (you can open the documentation by clicking the Help button in any of the interfaces). You may have to make a change in your Flash Player settings in order to test locally. This problem should not appear on a web server. If this does not work, please send me the files you are working on (the template and a page or two) at support[AT]extendstudio[DOT]com and I will look into it.Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

I have DW Tabbed Menu installed and work great.I'm just wondering the browser compatibility. It works great in Firefox & IE, but haven't tested Opera etc.. Also since it has flash component running, would it be a problem for browser that don't have flash player installed? Will they still see the menu?Thank you,Juli

Hello Juli,The product has been tested on Opera too and has no problems. The users that don't have Flash Player installed will still see the menu as a list of links. Anyway, aproximatly 99% of the internet users have Flash Player installed.Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

I have tried several (via your instructions) to turn off the Security Warning in Flash, without success. I still have to upload to my test server to see anything or test the links. Which is pain. I would just like to test everything on my local server. I work in PHP and discovered you have put the .php extension in the code for it work. Ok, I figured all the coding out --- it's not as straightforward as you proclaim --- and I have everything working great in IE7. However, in Firefox and Navigator, it is completely messed up. Not only are the buttons not there, the text and links are running down the side of my table --- in short, it's a complete mess in these 2 browsers. I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 --- I have Flash Player 9. I also deleted the trial include files and replaced the "purchased" include files, per your software instructions. The extendstudio.com is gone, but the menu is blank (logo only) on my local server and in Firefox and Navigator there's only a gray band. The code doesn't even look the same. I'm extremely frustrated. I can't move any further until the browser issue is addressed.Sylvia

I was wondering if any of these post ever get answered or if emails to support get responded to? I noticed that several people are working with support. Does that mean you are actually calling Romania? (the only number I can find on the web site) It's a shame that Adobe is a partner with someone whose product obviously has problems. I have wasted a lot time I was trying to save, as well as hiring someone who has to write custom code to fix my problem in other browsers besides IE7

Hello Sylvia,I have sent to you by email the page you were having problems with after I have corrected it. There were some problems in your page, but after I fixed them the menu worked fine on all browsers (you can find the details in my email). We usualy answer support inquiries in less that one business day. Yesterday we were very busy with updating all our commercial products and this is why we are a little late with the support. I apologize for the inconvenient and I hope the answer did not come too late. Also, some of the posts appear unanswered because they were answered by email and we did not specify that on the forum yet.Yes, the phone support means calling to Romania, but we also offer other types of communication (Skype, YM, etc) when necessary or when the customer requests it. We can also make VNC (or other desktop sharing utility) sessions in order to clarify some problems easier.Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

Hello Mary,Please download the product from your account again in order to get the updated version (version 1.1.0). You can install the extension without uninstalling the demo version. The demo version will be replaced by the commercial one. The extension will ask for your serial number once you open any of the interfaces after installing the commercial version. Also, in the updated package you will find a getting started guide containing information on how to install, register, find help, etc.Once the commercial version is installed you just have to edit the menu you have created with the demo version and the necessary files will be automatically updated in order for the menu not to show the extendstudio.com button any more.Best regards,Horea RADU, Extend Studio.

Hell, my name is Karen. I am interested in purchasing all three of your menu extensions for Dreamweaver but I'm having a problem getting the demo versions to work properly. The first time I use the product I have no problem designing a menu. The second time I try to use any one of the menu extensions either to insert a new menu or to edit the one I created the first time I get an error message that states: While executing onClick in xtd_CM_EditMenuH.htm, a JavaScript error occurred. Also, when I open the extension any time after the first time the menu structure is missing, the only thing that shows is "menu" with nothing of the structure I created under it. I tried uninstalling and re-installing and the same thing happens. Also, I tried to add my website root to Flash 9 Security Manager as instructed several times and I still get an error message when I try to preview my site. I think that these extensions have the potential to be great products but I want to make sure all the bugs are ironed out before I purchase. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.Karen Chudobiak

Hello, it's Karen Chudobiak again. I did actually go ahead and purchase the Tabbed Menu Dreamweaver Extension to see if maybe the paid version would work better than the Demo version. It worked fine for a while and then out of the blue the same thing happened again. I don't know, I'm getting pretty frustrated so I know you're busy but I'd really appreciate a response soon so I can decide if this is the way I want to go or if I should look elsewhere. Thanks and I look forward to a response.Sincerely,Karen Chudobiak

Hello Horea,This is a copy of the email I sent to you as requested:I wrote to you in the forum outlining my problem. I had first downloaded the Demo version of Creative DW Tabbed Menu. It worked fine the first time I used it to create a menu and the first few times I used it to edit that menu. Then when I tried to edit that menu the program loaded but the menu structure I created would not display. All that was displayed in the menu structure was menu item?. I tried to load the preset I had created and I got a popup message that said: While executing onClick in xtd_CM_EditMenuT.htm, a Java Script error occurred? this message also popped up whenever I tried to do anything else in the program. When I tried to create a new menu the same thing happened only the message this time was: While executing onClick in xtd_CM_CreateMenuT.htm, a Java Script error occurred. So then I purchased the program thinking that it might have been a problem only with the Demo version. I deleted the Demo version extension and installed the new version but the same thing happened. Once this starts happening it happens every time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times with the same results.I have included the page I was working on when this happened as requested. I have also attached both of the files that these error messages refer to so that you can have a look at them and possibly discover what the problem is.I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and Windows Vista. (Could it have anything to do with the fact that once it has been clicked a few times Windows Vista is creating a shortcut to that file in the Windows recent items file?) It appears the program is somehow being corrupted after Ive used it a few times. The program looks like a great program when its working. If we can figure this out I will definitely buy the other two Dreamweaver menu extensions. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.Karen Chudobiak

Thank you so much! The new version of the DW Tabbed Menu extension works great! What a cool extension. I like it so much I just purchased the DW Vertical Menu extension and the DW Dropdown Menu extension. Will I have the same problem with these new extensions as with the first one? If so could you please send me a fixed version of them as well. I noticed the versions have the same number 110? as my first version of the DW Tabbed Menu so Im thinking they may have to be upgraded. Im curious to know what the problem was. Was it Windows Vista or CS3 related? I also want to thank you for the quick response I received for each one of my postings and emails. Im very impressed with both your products and your service. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.Sincerely,Karen Chudobiak

Hello Horea:I just wanted to thank you for resolving my issue in such a timely manner. Both fixes work just fine.I also just wanted to let anyone else reading this know that the issue that I posted on Saturday, October 20th was resolved by the following Monday. I have twice written to Extend Studio because the products I purchased needed minor upgrades and Extend Studio responded with a resolution almost immediately. All three products that I purchased are awsome products and with the minor upgrades they now work great. I would not hesitate to purchase another extension from Extend Studio and I'm sure that that will be the case in the near future. Thanks again.Sincerely,Karen Chudobiak
