I have both the vertical and horizontal dreamweaver menu extensions and for some reason today they have started giving me trouble. They are both giving me a javascript error when I am done and try to save the menu.

The error is

While executing onClick in xtd_CM_CreatMenuV.htm, the following JavaScrip error(s) occurred:
At line 368 of file C:Program FilesMacromediaDreamweaver8configurationCommandsxtd_CM-UIAPI.js?: Exception thrown in native function.

I have tried several times to delete the extension and reload it and even downloaded a fresh copy of the menus and reloaded them and still get the same error..

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 - anyone else fix this problem or know what the issue could be?

Hello Patrick,

Is the file in the error you receive this: xtd_CM-UIAPI.js? Our file is called xtd_CM_UIApi.js.

Normally, the file is not found in Program Files, it should be found in C:Documents and Settings[the user name]Application DataMacromediaDreamweaver 8ConfigurationCommands.

What you can try is to delete the Dreamweaver cache. You can find the cache file directly in the configuration folder and it is called WinFileCache(some_numbers).dat. You will need to restart DW after deleting the file. The path of the configuration folder is:

C:Users[Your User Name]AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaver 9Configuration

Please let us know if the problem persists after this.
