I upgraded to CS 5.5 this week when I had to buy a new computer. I downloaded the Creative DW Menus Pack to the new machine, edited a menu I had previously built & thought all was well. Today I am getting these 2 messages:
"Please close Dreamweaver & delete the FileCache file before using Creative DW menus". Then it gives me the location of the MacFileCache-[number].dat for Mac.
I tried to delete the file and now I am getting this message asking for my license validation. I tried to put in the license number but get a 202 error.
I'm not sure what to do now.

I am having great problems with my new mac and CS5.5 as well. My menus install into Dreamweaver fine but DW crashes every time I try to insert a new menu. Still waiting for the brains trust at Extend Studio to sort this problem out!! Hope sort your problem out with them but there seems to be issues with CS5.5 which they havent addressed

Hello,
Kim, error 202 means that you are inserting an incorrect license number in the license box. Maybe you are using a serial number from a different extension or you are typing it in incorrectly.
Try to copy the serial number from your account and then paste it in the registration form instead of typing it.
I will send you an email Chris with instructions for a desktop connection to check what's happening on your computer.

I tried to copy/paste the license number in the area asking for the serial number this morning.
I got this message: License validation failed Error 201
I am still getting the message to delete the MacFile Cache-[number].dat for Mac message. I go in & delete it but it pops back into the file. This happened when I installed in CS4 too but I don't remember how we fixed it.

Hello Kim,
Validation error #201 means that you have to reset the serial number before you can use it to register another installation. Go to your account on our website and press the "reset license" button next to the serial number.
Once you deleted the cache file you don't need to delete it again. You can simply check the "do not show this again" box and then click the "OK" button.

I am wondering if I have the most recent version of Creative Menus. I have version 1.7.6. If there is another, how do I upgrade. I am using Dreamweaver CS5
