OK, I've set up 1 menu with no problem. This new menu for another site is another story. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong & when I go back to my original menu to see the URL field it is shortened to .../folder/folder.html so I can't see how I did it originally.
I am trying to use absolute links so I can use the 'Update All Pages' option. I have all the domain information in DW.
The home page button is - http://www.mavcos.com/index.html
The next buttons will be in another folder named mavcos. The links are:
http://www.mavcos.com/mavcos/aboutus.html
http://www.mavcos.com/mavcos/careers.html
http://www.mavcos.com/mavcos/industrylinks.html
http://www.mavcos.com/mavcos/members.html
What am I missing? I keep getting a message saying my pages can't be found when I click the links. I'm very frustrated & I'm sure it's a simple fix that I'm just not seeing.
Thank you.
Kim

Hello,
Using absolute links should work with no problems and it's a great idea since you have some pages in sub-folders.
I see that you don't have a Creative Menu on the index.html anymore so I couldn't check the menu. However, I checked the other pages and I received page not found on all of them.
Are you sure you uploaded that "mavcos" folder to the server? Did you upload it in the correct folder? If you make the pages work when you navigate to them using one of the URL's above there is no reason for them not to work from the menu.

I am working in a test environment so I don't think you would see the buttons.
Could this be part of the problem? I haven't used your product in a test situation before, I've always gone directly to web.
Should the buttons work once I upload to the test server? Or will the buttons only work once I launch directly to the web?
Thank you.

Hello,
Well, if the buttons point to the pages using absolute links to where the pages will be online then it's normal for them to not work on your testing server.
You have to change the absolute links to point to the testing server if you want them to work.

I have been fighting with this all morning. Nothing is working. I have tried both relative & absolute links on the test server and I keep getting a Page Not Found error. I don't know what to do.
The name of the server on the network is denserv1, then the file is called wwwroot. I copy the files off my hard drive into this wwwroot folder. I can't just put my folder with the files into the wwwroot because I get an error message. I have to upload the files themselves. So instead of having a file called Maverick Website in the wwwroot folder I just have index.html, then a mavcos folder with files called members.html etc.
With the relative links the index.html file shows up ok but all it says in the browser bar is denserv1/. I can't get any other pages to show up. I don't know what to do. I've tried every little change I can think of.

Hello again Kim,
You can't place the "Maverick Website" folder inside wwwroot because it has a space in its name. If you don't want to place your files directly in the root of the server, you need to remove that space or replace it with an underscore.
Is this the URL to the index page on the server http://denserv1/index.html ? If that is correct, then the URL for the members page is http://denserv1/mavcos/members.html.
These URLs need to be used in the menu links. You used them and still you get page not found messages? What URL you have in the address bar when you receive page not found?
