In Explorer a line across the top of the navigation that shouldn't be there, I have checked my CSS. Also the nav/menu shows as links and an error in ie6, ideally I'd like to design for that far back.rn2. In Safari a Blue Background, which also appears across the depth that any dropdown creates (although this navigation / website does not require submenus I thought it would be of interest)rnI have the Navigation as an include, with calls to the Javascript on the php include, I have tried calling the Javascript both ways on the pages with the navigation in and now on the include php, in both cases you get the same problems.rn rnThere appears to by nowhere to edit this out in the Menu software and I have to deliver this website to my client TODAY!!!rn rnPLEASE get in touch with a fix, I need it NOW.rn rnThank you, rn rnMike

Hello Mike,
There is a file missing from the 'includes' folder: http://www.orangestreet-webdesign.com/dev/includes/Creative_Menus/spacer.gif
I think that this is the cause of the extra border that you get on some browsers. Probably it can't find the file and places a picture holder with an x that is masked by the menu.
Check for that file in the local version of your website and upload it to the server.
I will check now the problem in IE 6 and post again.
Regards,
Andrei Rinciog

I have just uploaded to a new server, the site's final hosting server and behaviours have changed - http://www.skylinewindows.co.uk/
This problem with the line on top of the nav in Explorer is not happening now, so it can't be a missing spacer file problem, as I didn't change anything. The problems still persist in Safari and also there is an issue with safari and z indexing on the Gallery page you'll see there, why I don't know, it works on the two other browsers!

Hello Mike,
What version of Safari do you have? I just checked the website in Safari and there is no line on the top and the menu seems to function correctly.
Please send me some screenshots with the problems at support at extendstudio.com.
Regards,
Andrei

Andrei, no, on Safari there is no line, that's only in Explorer, the issue in Safari is that it has a background which extends when the dropdown is activated, I know there is no dropdown on it now.
The background both of the main navigation and the dropdown is blue and should not be.

Hi,
Please send me some pictures. I see the menu ok on both browsers. Try to clear the cache and check the page again.

Andrei

Check Safari the background is BLUE!!!! In Explorer and Moz F'fox it isn't! Using most recent versions?
Also the z index does not work in Gallery section, the navigation does not dive under the half tone from the lighbox script. As it does in Exp and Moz F-fox

That's looks like it Andrei, I have updated to 10.1 and both issues in Safari appear to be fixed.
THANK YOU.
Do you have any ideas what was going on?
Regards,
Mike

Hello Mike,
I think it was a glitch caused by an older Flash Player. Do you recall what version you had? Or, for how long you haven't updated?

Nope, I do recal trying to upgrade a while back becuase flash wasn't viewable at all on Facebook for me, but couldn't get the upgrade to load, on this attempt it worked. I have a feeling that it was 9.(?)
Things all look okay now and Safari is working fine, both issues have been sorted by the upgrade, I'll have to put something on the site regarding this issue, with links to update.
Thanks again,
Mike

Probably there aren't many users that have the same Flash Player version + Safari but it's better to place a small notice somewhere.
If you have any more trouble in the future just write here again.
