So, there's no live preview for Dreamweaver Vertical Menu extension... ok. That's incredibly useful.
And it crashedDreamweaver.
I'm so impressed.
So, how does one get their money back? By the way, I bought and downloaded this just 20 mins ago.,.

What do you mean? There are previews for all 3 DW menus, also there are trial versions for all 3. I'm not sure why it would crash dreamweaver, try installing and re-installing. These menus work well for me, they could be better, but they are the best from the current selection of DW extensions.

Hello Bridgette,
I apologize for the inconvenience, but on the website it is stated that the preview works only in Windows! Also you have the ability to test the product before you buy, using the demo version which is fully functional!
You are saying that it crashed Dreamweaver. In order to find out why this happened we need to know which are the steps that made Dreamweaver crash?

Catalin Serban

Hi Marx,
The menus will be even better when the V2 version will be released.

"My bad" I guess for not trying the demo out...
Here's what happened when Dreamweaver crashed:
I added my menu items, I selected god-only-knows-which menu skin, I went to Preview where it displayed the "sorry, no preview except on Windows" msg, then I clicked "Ok" or Done or Finish - and nothing. I waited 3 or 4 mins and then had to Force Quit.
I've since gotten it to work but if I go to the Preview thing (which I now know doesn't work) it crashes Dreamweaver when I try to exit the program. Why is the preview tab even there? I mean, again, now I know not to touch it unless I want to crash Dreamweaver... but why's it even there if it cannot be utilized?
For the record - NOTHING ever crashes on my Mac. I've NEVER had to Force Quit an application before. Ever.
When does the next version come out? Will it have a preview for us Mac users? Will I need to pay for that upgrade when it comes out?

Hello Bridgette,
I am glad that it works, but it should not crash when clicking on the preview tab. Regarding the Preview on MAC, unfortunately, due to a Dreamweaver issue on MAC, it doesnt work. We have solved this issue, using a workaround, and I assure you that in V2 the preview will be functional on MAC too.
I cant tell you exactly when V2 will be released, but what I can tell you is that in the next couple of weeks two new great extensions will be released.
Regarding the costs of the new version, for the existing customers, there will be an upgrade charge (the same thing applies when upgrading from Flash 8 to CS3 or any other product). This would cost less than the regular price.

Preview tab, although it doesn't work on Mac OSX Dreamweaver CS3, will crash Dreamweaver, if you try to use it in any way. I hit OK after messing it with it just for the heck of it, and it crashed. So there's a bug in that tab.
Also, who in God's name proofreads your program text, your support text and your web site? I haven't seen so many grammatical and spelling errors, since I looked at my kids' homework. Come on, you guys. Hire a proofreader, for God's sake. There are spelling and grammar errors EVERYWHERE on your site, product and support pages on line. Very unprofessional for such quality product.

Amen to everything you said Mike.
I've learned never to so much as THINK about the Preview Tab. Don't click on it, don't look at it, don't think about it...
Catalin: I cannot think of 1 good reason why I'm not entitled to the wonderfully working upcoming version at no charge.

Bridgette, please check my latest post about Global Security Settings, I can't seem to get around it, and I'm wondering if you have any answer, while I google myself to death trying to find it. :) I can't get rid of that bloody warning, so I can't see any submenus when I preview in browser, and it's making me crazy! Thanks!
