We've been struggling with this problem for some time now. We created a site with CM's and it looks great, but anything just below the menu area cannot be clicked or scrolled. Its like an invisible field is blocking those items.rnrnWe tried setting the menu z-index to zero or 1 and the div below it to 999, but whenever the persistent submenus are checked in the dialog box, they block the buttons or links from working. Turn off the persistent subs and it works okay.rnrnI would much rather have the subs persistent, as it shows people where they are within the site. Is there any fix for this?rnrnDale

By the way, the URL is www.jumbomax.com. The page which we are trying to fix is
http://jumbomaxgrips.com/where_to_buy.html
If I turn on persistent submenus, you would not be able to enter text in the location box or use the blue scroll button.

Hello again Dale,
Sorry for the delay, we've been quite busy around here. We will release a fix for this issue in a few days. The only workaround, for now, is to not use persistent submenus.
Best regards,
Andrei Brebulet

Is there a solution to this issue yet?
I'm having the same problem. In IE 7 or 8 the scrollbar is not accessible after a menu dropdown. Firefox and Safari work fine.

Hello Dale,
Sure. I will send it right away.
We will eventually add this in the next update of the product. So, it won't be needed for versions newer than 1.7.4

Hello,
I am currently having the same issue with the menu. I am running version 1.7.4 but it seems to do the same thing. In internet explorer I mouse over the menu and it causes the page to stop scrolling. I have to basically move my mouse to the outside of the nav container on the left or right of the screen to get scrolling functionality back.

Hi Andrei,
I recieved the fix and installed it, but I am still having the same issues. If I use a drop down or tabbed menu, I still lose the ability to scroll. It doesnt seem to be an issue with the vertical menu though. I created a test page, and dropped in 3 vertical menus and when I check with IE I have no issues. The only time I lose scrolling is when I am actually on the menu. As soon as I move the mouse off of the menu area I can scroll normally. I am unable to do the same with the drop down and tabbed menus. If they are inserted, I lose all scrolling ability underneath of them. I did a tabbed and drop down that were 900 x 70 and once I scroll over them I lose ability to scroll the entire page underneath.

Hello,
The patch that I sent you should have fixed the exact problems that you have. I think that the javascript changes aren't applied because the extension uses the cached version of the file.
Please delete Dreamweaver cache file and try again. http://www.extendstudio.com/documentation/creative-dw-dropdown-menu/documentation/faq/faq2.html#cache_procedure
Also, if you test your pages online, please make sure that you re-upload the folder "includes" that holds the javascript files needed by the menu.
Regards,
Andrei Rinciog

Hi Andrei,
I have done these steps and still nothing. Once I received the fix, I installed the file per instructions from the email you sent. I restarted Dreamweaver and tested. After that didn't fix the problem, I started over from scratch. First, I deleted all files from within the website folder that had a menu within them. Second, I disabled/uninstalled the fix and restarted dreamweaver. Third, I disabled/uninstalled the dw menu pack and restarted dreamweaver. I rebooted my computer, then went and deleted the cache file. I installed the dw menu pack and started dreamweaver. After starting dreamweaver I checked to make sure it was installed. I then ran the fix and let that install. I restarted dreamweaver. All of these steps and it still didn't correct the issue.
