I downloaded the free trial, but i am having problems working with it.
I can't figure out how to attach the effects to an object.
I am interested in buying the product, but i would like to see how it works first.
Can anyone help me?

Ok i have figured it out, but i would like to know why the effect is only working on the bottom right corner of the image.

In order the effects to work correctly you have to place the contents of the movieclip, on which you had applied the effects, at the X:0, Y:0? position. To do this fast you can use the Align? panel and click on the Align Left Edge? and Align Top Edge? or you can set the X and Y from the Properties Tab.
