I've written eXtend support a few times over the last few days and no one has answered my emails. Perhaps someone is responding to the forum. My problem is that I am unable to validate this applications (error 101). The error recommends to change the firewall settings, but that is not an option from where I'm using this program.
Is there a way around this problem? I've never had this issue with other software. I can't imagine that everyone must have a constant network connection to use this program.
If this can't be resolved, please refund my purchase.

Hello Curtis,
First of all I want to ask at which email you have sent the support inquiries. I have searched the contact and support emails and I hadnt found the one from you. I assure that all our emails are answered in the shortest amount of time.
Regarding the issue, there is no error 101 so it can only be error 001. In order to fix this please try to adjust the firewall settings accordingly or disable the firewall during the registration process.
The second way is to directly connect to the internet ( a modem, a wireless connection, any kind of connection that doesnt require a proxy/firewall) , just for a few minutes, during the registration process. Register the extension and everything will be OK.

Thanks for responding. I don't know what the problem regarding my emails, but I've been sending them to support@extendstudio.com and they're not bouncing so they're going somewhere.
I can't alter the firewall at my work. I guess I can take my desktop home and connect to validate, but that is a very cumbersome way to install this tool. If I did go outside the firewall and validate, will this component work when I'm back behind the firewall? I've seen some post where it seems to want to re-validate all the time.
Is there another install application that can install this without having these firewall issues?

I tried to connect to validate outside of the firewall using an external line and it didn't work (hardware issue). Unless there's some way of validating this I can't use it. It's too bad because it looks like a nice product, but validation options are limited and really cumbersome. Please advise

Hello Curtis,
We may be able to find a resolution to this problem if you could tell us if within your corporate network there is a proxy to which you could be able to connect outside the firewall. If your answer to this question is positive, please tell us, so that we could get back to you with a solution to this problem. In order to see if you have acces to a proxy, you should go to the Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Connexions -> LAN Settings and see if you are using a proxy.
Another solution to this problem would be to talk to your network administrator, and tell him that you need to activate your product.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Monica Chitu
