hello.I have 2 concerns.
About flash text, i`m not really a Flash pro but every time i use it and set up some ,after clicking on preview, the preview browser comes out ,sometimes it displays what i just did but most of the time it doesnt and it freezes.No way to close it and go back to the first board or to flash.Even after changing some values in the preview browser, nothing changes.The browser is it blocked.And i see almost always an error msg appearing in flash background like "i should not set this and this at the same time or fatal error etc.."
Despite reading many times the manual, same things happen always and i`m obliged to close flash through my task manager to start again because nothing moves after the preview window appears.
It will be good to know the limitations of the product.By that i mean for new users or novice, it will be good to provide them some hints like "when using this preset ,it`s better to set this value to this or like that or do not use this or that in this case etc...Never combine this and this etc... . I saw the example on your manual and it will be better to know the value you used to get those basic results.It will make it easier to understand.I know photoshop and some how understand a bit flash but i still never succeeded in setting up a Flash text.Same for the movie.
Can you update your tutorial and add these info on it?
And is it possible to combine FlashFx and movieFx at the same time? If so, a know how about that will be great or some examples will be worth a 1000 words.

Sorry for the late reply.
It's not recommended to use both TextFX v2 and MovieFX v2 combined, e.g. applying a MovieFX v2 on a movieclip that contains a TextFX v2. It should work, but it would probably be very processor intensive. You can use both components in the same Flash movie just not combined.
It would've been a good idea to write the parameters of the effects from the samples gallery. We will consider better documenting the effect parameters but I don't think that will happen in the near future as it is a time consuming task because of the large number of parameters.
Usually it's better not to use high values for the parameters as the effect can get very heavy on the processor, especially if you have multiple effects in the same movie. Usually smaller amount of animated pieces will work way better. Other than that, you really have the opportunity to edit the effect any way you like to make it look the way want. High level of customization for the effects was one of the key features we wanted to achieve in this product.
The problem that you have with the Preview might be related to the effect that you are trying to preview. If it's an effect a little more processor extensive and adds to the Flash CPU usage, it might cause it to be unresponsive. But it should come back in a few seconds.
Do you recall what effect you were trying to preview when it crashed?
