Hello, I have just purchased Creative Flash FX, and I am trying it out. I am working with TextFX. After the installation and trying some letter effects, flash test movie was running very slow. I restarted my computer (mac OS 10.5.8) and things were functioning good for a while. Now, I have most of the time same issue - preview (test movie) is running very very slow. I use Flash CS3. I have tried also to disable installed fonts, as it was written somewhere on this forum, but it does not help.

is there any fix for this?

thanks in advance

Tanja

Just want to add: I do embed fonts before I export movie, but still the problem persists...and - whole Flash is working slowly...

Ok, my flash movie plays well if I go back and embed fonts every time I change, not only text effects, but another, completely separated movie clip...Is that supposed to be so?

Thanks in advance

Hello Tanja,

No, I don't that should be the normal behavior. I don't know exactly what you need to do in the FLA but once embedded the fonts should remain embedded regardless of changes in the FLA.

Do you think you could send me a copy of your FLA so I can check it out. You can send it to support at extendstudio.com and I will take a look asap.

Hello Andrei,

I have solved this problem. There was something happening during the installation of the components.

I would first install TextEff, and then when I would install the MovieEff, I would get a message that some many things in the user/library/app. support/adobe/etc......./configuration/extend are already installed, with the option to replace them, which I did at first, but as it turns out that was a mistake.
So when I reinstalled and during installation of the second extension opted for not replacing files that were installed with the first one - all is working fine and fast....I am really glad, it works as I thought it should works....

thanks for your time anyway
