Another issue I am having is the slowness of performance using your plug-in.

If I add other normal Flash features like tweens etc., the test movie feature slows way down. Also, I have repeated incidents where I am not even using the computer and Flash crashes.

Saving the Flash file as a movie and playing it in the browser speeds it up back to how it should play. Somehow Flash is getting very low on resources.

I have a decently beefy computer, a Mac Pro quad-core with 6 GB of RAM and Snow Leopard as the OS.

So what's going on? I have decreased the number of undo levels from a 100 to 10 and hopefully that helps.

I am wondering if your use of effects and filters in the text animations is really taxing my Flash and my OS.

Hello Steven,

Does this happens with all the effects or you have problems with only one of them?

Have you noticed Flash slowing down after you used our preview tool or just by previewing the swf file?

Normally, the Flash Player shouldn't eat many resources because of the Garbage Collector system that should clean up pretty much everything. Maybe it's something caused by cached classes. Try to delete the ASO files and then test the movie. Tell me if it behaves the same way.

I deleted the ASO files and tested the movie. Still has the same sluggishness.

I took some time and tried deleting ASO files multiple times. Most times it didn't do anything but a few times it cleared up the problem.

I am wondering why it doesn't fix the problem every time?

Hello Steve,

Does this happen with all the effects?

It is possible that we will make some small changes to the package in the near future. We will take into consideration all the problems that you had and see what we can do.

I will post a message when the package is available.

Regards,
Andrei
