Hi All!
Firstly, many thaniks for a very cool product and if I can get some help, I can't wait to start using it! :-)
The problem is this, on creating a new file, I dragged a component to the stage, went to edit the text and clicked on update and the following dialog box popped up saying. "The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: SyntaxError: unterminated string literal.
I have no idea what this means, but it's then followed up with:
A script in this movie is causing Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?
On top of this, it's clear that Flash grinds to a halt. I've only got the Extend components installed but the text effects seems to be causing problems that make it impossible to work. Movie FX appear to be working ok. I'm using an INTEL Mac, not sure if that makes a difference.
Any help as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello Michael,
Does this happen every time you try to add a TextFX component or just sometimes? Are you using any special characters in the text?
Could you, please send us a FLA file with a component that shows this error?

Hi Horea,
It just happened when I tried to do some thing as simple as this:
1. Create a new Flash AS2.0 Document.
2. Drag a TextFX component to the stage.
3. Highlight the text to be changed and wrote something as simple as "welcome to".
4. Clicked on UPDATE - and sure enough, up pops the Javascript Error - unterminated string literal
I have saved the .FLA file and will try and email it to you with a copy of this post. I will also send a copy of this email via the instant contact option in the component as well as post a copy from my registered email account along with the actual Flash file.
Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I hope you can help me out as I'd much rather get it working than have to get a refund as what I've seen of it so far looks amazing.

Hi Hoera / Monica / AnyoneElse,
Just wondering if you had any news regarding the TextFX problem? Haven't hassled you guys 'cause I'm sure you're busy like anyone else but it would be cool to get a solution to this problem
Otherwise, could I organize a refund?

For anyone other users, just wanted to put a quick post up here letting people know that I did get a support response the other day with an updated component that now works.
Just thought it's only fair to let people know when Extend studio get things right too.
