FlexiPanels Installation

FlexiPanels CSS for Dreamweaver is a CSS builder that helps you create table-less HTML code for side panels, menu containers or any content zones with a gradient background and rounded corners. Start from a layout picture from your designer or implement any of the 30 ready-made panels and the extension will create the standard compliant DIVs and CSS ready to be implemented in your site, without writing manual code!

System requirements

The minimum system requirements for working with FlexiPanels CSS are listed below.

  • Operating System: Windows XP or newer, Mac OS X 10 or newer
  • IDE Version: Dreamweaver CS3 or CS4
  • Adobe Air: for FlexiSlicer (optional)
  • JavaScript enabled (for the browsers above)

 

Install FlexiPanels CSS

The FlexiPanels CSS extension can be installed using the Adobe Extension Manager, a tool which is installed automatically when installing Adobe Dreamweaver. If you don't find this tool on your computer, download the version which you prefer:

  1. Extract the archive containing the FlexiPanels CSS extension in the folder of your choice.
  2. If it's running, close Adobe Dreamweaver prior to installing FlexiPanels CSS on your computer; open the Adobe Extension Manager.

  3. Select Install Extension from the File menu (or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + O, or click the Install New Extension button); as a result, the Select Extension to Install dialog box will open. Locate the .mxp file in the folder where you extracted the archive, select it and click Install.
  4. After reading the terms and conditions in the disclaimer, click the Accept button to continue the installation.

  5. A dialog box opens to announce the success of the FlexiPanels CSS installation. Click OK and open Adobe Dreamweaver.

Uninstalling FlexiPanels CSS

In order to uninstall the FlexiPanels CSS extension from your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Adobe Extension Manager; make sure the list in the toolbar states that the extensions displayed correspond to Dreamweaver. Select the FlexiPanels CSS extension in the Installed Extensions list.
  2. Select Remove Extension from the File menu (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + R, or click the Remove Extension button); as a result, a warning box opens asking if you really want to uninstall the extensions. Click the Yes button.

  3. A dialog box opens to announce that FlexiPanels CSS was uninstalled; click OK.

 

Register

In order to use the Full version of FlexiPanels CSS, register your extension. After you download and install the extension, use the following steps to register it.

  1. Open Adobe Dreamweaver and create a new file; the file has to be part of a Dreamweaver site.

  2. In the Insert bar, select the FlexiPanels CSS category; if you cannot see the Insert bar, click Window, Insert from the top menu in Dreamweaver or use the Ctrl + F2 keyboard shortcut.

  3. Using the buttons in the FlexiPanels CSS category, insert a panel in your page; as a result, the FlexiPanels CSS interface opens.
  4. Enter the serial number in the Serial box from the Enter Serial Number dialog box, then click the OK button.
