Configuring Chart Parameters > Axis Names

Axis Names can be configured from the 'Titles & Axis Names' panel which is located under the 'Chart Selection' tab.

Following configurable parameters are available in the 'Titles & Axis Names' panel:

• xAxisName: Using this parameter you can name the x-axis of the chart; use the Dynamic Data button if you would like to use dynamic data for the X axis name.
• yAxisName: Using this parameter you can name the y-axis of the chart; use the Dynamic Data button if you would like to use dynamic data for the Y axis name.
• PYAxisName: Using this parameter you can name the primary y-axis of the chart; use the Dynamic Data button if you would like to use dynamic data for the primary Y axis name.
• SYAxisName: Using this parameter you can name the secondary y-axis of the chart; use the Dynamic Data button if you would like to use dynamic data for the secondary Y axis name.

Please note that 'PYAxisName' and 'SYAxisName' are chart specific parameters and will only be displayed if a Dual Y Axis chart has been selected.

The appearance of the Axis Names can be customized using 'Styles'. Styles are configured from the 'Styles' panel which can be launched using buttons displayed under the axis name fields.

Advanced Parameters

If the 'Show advanced options' check box is selected - some additional parameters will be displayed in the 'Title and Axis Names' panel.

Following advanced parameters are available in the 'Title and Axis Names' panel:

• rotateYAxisNames: This parameter allows you to control the manner in which the Y-axis names are displayed. By default the Y-axis names are rotated, however you can disable rotation of Y-axis names.
• pYAxisName Width: This parameter will be applicable only if rotation of Y-axis names is turned off. Using this parameter you can specify the width of the primary Y-axis Name. This parameter causes the background to widen so that it can accommodate the primary Y-axis name in un-rotated mode.
• sYAxisName Width: This parameter is applicable only if rotation of Y-axis names is turned off. Using this parameter you can specify the width of the secondary Y-axis name.
