Advanced Chart Features > Exporting charts as Image/PDF

Starting version 1.1.0, the chart end user is able to export the charts as Image (PNG/JPEG) or as PDF for offline usage. The export chart feature can be managed from the 'Export Options' section in the 'General Options' tab of the FusionCharts for Dreamweaver interface.

By enabling these features, the user will be able to save the rendered chart as an image or PDF using the context menu that is available on the mouse right click on the chart .

The chart is taking its own snapshot so that further processes can take place.

The "Save" button opens the file browser to name and select a location for the file

Export Parameters Panel

Following configuration options are available under the 'Export options' section.

• exportFileName: The default name of the file that is saved, without the extension
• exportAtClient: Whether to use client side export handlers (default: yes)
• exportShowMenuItem: Show the export related functions in the chart context menu available on mouse right click
• exportCallback: Name of the JavaScript function that will be called when the export process has finished
• exportFormats: List of the export formats that will appear in the context menu with the labels for each one (default value:PDF=Export as PDF|PNG=Export as PNG|JPG=Export as JPG)

Copy charts data to clipboard (CSV format)

The following configuration options are available:

• exportDataSeparator:

  Lets you set the separator for CSV data. For ease of use, this attribute accepts the following pseudo codes for characters:

  • {tab} - To specify tab character
  • {quot} - To specify double quotes
  • {apos} - To specify single quotes

  You can also specify any other character apart from these pseudo codes.

• exportDataQualifier:

  Lets you set the qualifier character for CSV data. For ease of use, this attribute accepts the following pseudo codes for characters:

  • {tab} - To specify tab character
  • {quot} - To specify double quotes
  • {apos} - To specify single quotes

  You can also specify any other character apart from these pseudo codes.

• exportDataFormattedVal: Boolean value indicating whether to output formatted data values (as shown on chart) in the output CSV file.
