Configuring Chart Parameters > Anchors

Each data point on a line or an area chart is represented by an Anchor.

All properties related to the Anchors can be controlled from the 'Anchors' panel. This panel is displayed in the 'Chart Selection' screen, only if a line chart or an area chart has been selected.

Following configurable parameters are available in the 'Anchor' panel:

• drawAnchors Using this option you can display or hide Anchors.
• anchorBgColor This option lets you customize the background color of the Anchor.
• anchorBorderColor This option lets you customize the border color of the Anchor.

The appearance of Anchors can be further enhanced by using 'Styles'. 'Styles' can be configured from the 'Styles' panel opened using the 'Anchor Style Definition' button. For more information on Styles refer to the 'Styles' section of this documentation.

 

Advanced Parameters

If the 'Show advanced options' check box is selected - some additional parameters will be displayed in the 'Anchor' panel.

Following advanced parameters are available in the 'Anchor' panel:

• anchorSides: Using this parameter you can change the shape of the anchor - by specifying the number of sides that the anchor should have. For instance a value of 3 will result in triangle shaped anchor and a value of 4 will produce a square shaped anchor.

• anchorRadius: This parameter lets you set the size of the anchors.
• anchorBgAlpha: This parameter allows you to set the alpho of the anchor background.
• anchorBorderThickness: This parameter allows you to set the thickness of the anchor border.
