Configuring Chart Parameters > 3D Parameters
The 3D Combination chart is a true 3D chart which offers features such as; customizable camera angle, customization of light source angle, rotation etc. In this section, we explain. the various 3D parameters that will help you to customize the appearance of your 3D combination chart.
3D parameters have been classified into three categories, based on the categorization - the 'Chart Selection' screen displays three panels from which you can configure the 3D properties for your chart. These panels will be displayed only if 3D combination chart has been selected as the chart type and the 'Show advanced options' check box has been selected.
Following are the names of the panels from which 3D properties of the 3D combination chart can be configured:
- 3D Functional Attributes panel
- 3D Camera, Lights and Rotation Attributes panel
- 3D Wall Attributes panel
3D Functional Attributes

'3D Functional Attributes' panel
Following parameters are available in the '3D Functional Attributes' panel:
3D Camera Light & Rotation Attributes

3D 'Camera; Light & Rotation Attributes' panel
In the '3D Camera Light & Rotation' panel you can set the viewing angle and the lighting of the chart. Following configurable parameters are available in the '3D Camera, Light & Rotation' panel.
- bright2D: This parameter is applicable only if you have enabled the 'is2D' parameter in the '3D Functional Attributes' panel. If this parameter is enabled - the chart will render with increased brightness in 2D mode.
- cameraAngX/cameraAngY: The 'cameraAngX' and 'cameraAngY' parameters are used for defining the viewing angle for the chart. The values for both the parameters can be set to anything from 0-360/0--360 degrees. The default X and Y angles are 30 degrees and 315 degrees respectively. The 'cameraAngX' and 'cameraAngY' parameters should be specified only when 'animate3D' parameter has been disabled, because the chart will be rendered as per the values specified in the 'endAngX and 'endAngY' fields = if 'animate3D' parameter is active.

Setting viewing angle along the X axis

Setting viewing angle along the Y axis

Viewing angle set to 10 degrees along X axis and 60 degrees along Y axis

Viewing angle set to 190 degrees alogn X axis and -160 degrees along Y axis
- startAngX/endAngX/startAngY/endAngY: 'startAngX' and 'endAngX' parameters are used for defining the angle of rotation along the X axis - along which the rotational animation will take place at the time of rendering. Similarly the 'startAngY' and 'endAngY' parameters are used for defining the rotational animation of the chart along the Y axis. After the initial animation, the chart will be rendered as per the values specified in the 'endAngX' and 'endAngY' fields. The rotational animation will work only if the 'animate3D' parameter is active.
- Chart Lighting: Fusioncharts supports two types of chart lighting which are; dynamic shading and chart world lighting.
- Dynamic Shading: Dynamic shading is a form of lighting in which the light source is fixed outside the chart. Because of this the shading of the chart will change if the viewing angle is altered.Dynamic Shading can be activated by enabling 'dynamicShading' parameter.

Dynamic Lighting

Dynamic Lighting
- Chart World Lighting: Chart world Lighting refers to a mode of lighting in which the light source is fixed inside the chart; so, shading remains unchanged even if the viewing angle changes. In order to use chart world lighting - you need to first disable dynamic shading. FusionCharts for Dreamweaver allows you to specify the angle of the light source, the 'lightAngX' and 'lightAngY' parameters can be used to change the angle of he light source along the X axis and Y axis respectively.

Light source angle set to 0 degrees along X axis and 90 degrees along Y axis
- Intensity: Intensity refers to the intensity of the light source, intensity can range from 0-10, where 0 implies minimum intensity and 10 implies maximum intensity. The default intensity is set to 2.5.
- Rotation: With FusionCharts for Dreamweaver you can allow the audience of the chart to have some fun with the 3D combination chart - as 3D combination charts tend to rotate when they are dragged with the mouse cursor. You have the option of disabling the rotation feature, which can be accomplished by turning off the 'allowRotation' parameter. In case you want to allow rotation, but wish to constrain the extent to which the chart can be rotated = you can do so by specifying minimum and maximum angle in the the 'minHorizontalRotAng', 'maxHorizontalRotAng'., 'minVerticalRotAng' and 'maxVerticalRotAng' fields.
3D Wall Attributes
In the '3D Wall Attributes' panel - you can configure the depth of each of the 3 walls that make up the 3D canvas. Following configurable parameters are available in the '3D Wall Attributes' panel.

'3D Wall Attributes' panel
- yzWallDepth: Using this parameter you can set the thickness of the Y-Z wall.
- zxWallDepth: Using this parameter you can set the thickness of the Z-X wall .
- xyWallDepth: Using this parameter you can set the thickness of the X-Y wall.
