In this tutorial we're going to create a loop effect using Creative TextFX. Please don't forget that, for the tutorial to work, you need the Creative TextFX extension installed; if you have any problems installing it, refer to the “How to install an extension” tutorial.

1. Start Flash and create a new file.

Create file
2. Now we're going to use a trick which will create for us the loop effect. Insert a blank keyframe on the second frame. We're going to work from the second frame on, and the first frame (which we'll leave blank) will make our effect loop.

Insert frame
3. Let's start working with our effect. Open the Components panel and drag an instance of Creative TextFX (keep in mind that you have the second frame selected). Convert it to a movie clip (press F8 while the effect is selected).
4. Let's configure the effect. Double-click on the movie clip and open the Component Inspector. Apply the following settings:

Configure the effect
5. A very important thing is that, while you are working on the timeline, you have to arrange frames so that there is a consistency between the length of the effect in the effect properties (the General panel from Component Inspector) and the length on the timeline. These being said, insert a frame on the 71th frame on Layer 1.
6. Now it's time o preview our effect. Press CTRL+Enter.
