- The total duration of the component is increased my modifying the duration of the effect elements; as the total duration is set, the percentages that the effect elements occupy can be set by using the draggable bars from the Time Manager.
- In order to use the Move Component option such that the component moves on the stage perfectly synchronized with the effects, make sure the total duration from the time manager is the value given to the Duration parameter of the Move Component option.
- If you would like to obtain a better contrast for the preview of your text in the Text tab or in Preview Mode, please change the background color using the included color picker tool.
- By increasing the quality of an effect parameter such as blurQuality or glowQuality a better appearance will be output but the component would exhibit a slight decrease in performance; the same thing happens for parameters that use pieces, slices, strips and so on: using a high number of elements leads to a decrease in performance.
- In order to synchronize the component with the rest of the elements in the Flash movie, make sure to take into consideration the Delay parameter, as the total duration only accounts for the In, Wait and Out effect elements.
- If you would like to duplicate the entire configuration of a TextFX component, use the Copy and Paste commands from the Other Options section of the interface; this works as well on TextFX instances from different Flash projects! Do NOT forget to use the Embed Fonts option after you paste a component configuration in the new Creative TextFX instance.
- In order to optimize a Flash file, please access the Flash top menu Commands>TextFX Optimize FLA; for large files (size having the order of MBs or a complex structure), the operation may take a few minutes, but a message will be displayed it is completed.
- Because of a known Flash issue, it is considered a best practice to use integer coordinates when placing the Creative TextFX component on the stage (X=72.0, Y=52.0 instead of X=72.5, y=52.5).
- Great looking Wait Effects can be obtained by using In/Out Effect combinations with an opaque setting - fade=100%; for the best results, the Out Effect element should be configure to "Use the In Effect configuration".
