In this section of the interface some general properties of Creative TextFX can be set.

The Other Options section
The “Component name” parameter holds the instance name of the Creative TextFX component on the stage; if no value is inserted, a default value will be employed – such as “TextFX_Instance_0”.
If you wish to make Creative TextFX stop and wait for a further command, such as one written in code, enable the “Do nothing” parameter.
From the Options drop-down menu, three functionalities of the component can be accessed: Manage Presets, which will be presented further in the “Working with presets” chapter of the documentation, copy and paste. The Copy and Paste can be used to transfer the configuration between different instances of Creative TextFX.

Another available option is the “Move Component” one; when enabled, a few configurable parameters become available as well. The first two, X and Y, indicate the starting position of the component; Duration holds a number of frames which represent the time for which the component will move. The component will follow a straight trajectory, starting from the (X;Y) coordinates presented above, and ending at its position on the stage; the motion will be linear or will have the acceleration given by the selected Easing Function and Easing type.
