The first thing to do when starting to work with Creative TextFX is to insert the target text in the component; this is done in the Text tab, in the text field present there.

The Text tab
After the text was introduced in the component, there are two types of options available in this section of the configuration interface: appearance-related options and functionality-related options.
The appearance-related options are: selecting the text face – the available fonts are the ones which are installed on the user’s computer, selecting the text size, bolding, italicizing or underlining the text, changing the text color and aligning the text to the left, right, center or justified. In order to be able to see the text perfectly no matter which color it has, the background area’s color can be modified as well using the TextArea Background Color parameter.
The functionality-related option, which is so essential for the workflow that without it the result will not be displayed properly, is the Embed Fonts option. The first time when the component interface is opened or after the modification of any of the appearance-related option presented above, the fonts MUST be embedded in the Flash file’s library by pressing Embed Fonts! In order to remind the user about embedding the fonts, after any change applied on the target text, a warning message will appear; the warning message will disappear as the Embed Fonts button is pressed.
