Working with presets

Another Creative MovieFX function designed solely for time optimization is the ability to work with presets.

The Presets Manager window

The Presets Manager window

The save preset option is available basically anywhere in the interface where a configuration can be created. Just click on the Save As Preset button, enter the name of the preset in the op-up window and click OK. Like this, everything remains saved and kept for later use.

Keeping in mind that there are many effect elements – like the In, Wait, Out elements or the dynamic effects – the presets list can become quite large in a relatively short time.

That’s when the Presets Manager comes into play; first of all, it can be accessed from the options section by pressing on Manage Presets. As the Presets Manager is open, the following options are available: exporting the presets of an effect type (In, Wait, Out or Actions) in a specified folder by clicking Export Presets, importing presets from a specified location by using Import Presets or deleting presets by selecting them and then clicking Delete Presets (CTRL+select or SHIFT+select simplify the procedure). In order to view the presets associated to a certain effect, select the effect type and the effect using the two drop down lists.
