The interface of the product was designed to offer the user the possibility to access easily and fast any of the Creative MovieFX’s functionalities; in the same time, the way it is divided in sections allows the user to employ all the product’s options in a natural way, without unnecessary pauses in the workflow.
As a Creative MovieFX component is dragged on a movie clip from the stage, it automatically binds itself to it and default instance names are inserted in the corresponding text fields to link the objects together. This can be observed in the Other Options section of the interface, which will be described later on in the documentation.
Another part of the interface which comes in front of the line when starting to use Creative MovieFX is the Time Manager. From here the type of effect which will be used can be selected: an In Effect, a Wait Effect or an Out Effect or a combination of the three. Also from here the duration of the effects or the delay time until the component will start can be set. What is particularly helpful about this section is that is visible at all times in the interface, offering control ever the effect structure and also over the duration of each of the used elements.
After enabling the effect elements, these can be configured from the first three tabs corresponding to their names. In order to simplify the workflow, a preview tab is available for all the effects and the desired state of the effect can be achieved without having to test the entire Flash movie. Moreover, each effect configuration can be saved as a preset for later use; presets use is optimized in Creative MovieFX, as the user has a lot of control over them through the Manage presets section of the interface.
Another section of the interface is the Actions one; from here effects and actions triggered by mouse behavior can be inserted. What’s the best about it is that there is no coding required for Creative MovieFX to become mouse-event sensible.
Filters can be applied on the movie clip from the homonym tag of the interface.
