How to create a menu (quick version)

In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a menu using the Creative DW Vertical Menus component. I'm going to present everything very fast here and in the next tutorials I'll present a through view of the component. In order to be able to do this tutorial, the first thing you have to do is install Creative DW Dropdown Menus extension on your computer; if you encounter any problems doing that, check out the "How to install an extension" tutorial.

1. Let's start by opening Dreamweaver. Create a new site and a new file in which we'll work. If you have any difficulties at this step, I recommend you to read the „How to create a website” tutorial – that should help. In order to be able to insert a menu, save your „.html” file.

2. Make sure the selected tab in the Insert bar is Creative menus and click on the Insert Vertical Menu button.

3. Take a look at the menu configuration tab if you'd like, but leave everything the way it is for now, at least until the next tutorial when we're going to configure and change everything!

4. Preview you're file. In order to do this press F12 or click File>Preview in browser and select the browser of your choice. You should see something like this. If you receive any security warnings and not the menu you were expecting, please visit the "How to test a website locally" tutorial.
