Custom skin editor

As the “Create Custom Skin” window opens, the first thing you have to take into consideration is the skin name. After you insert this one, the rest is basically the repetition of one step – locating the image files required for each part of the menu.

The basic procedure you have to follow is to previously create the images you want to use and then insert the paths to them in the specific field; an important specification is that you don’t have to copy the files in your DW website’s folder, the extension will do that automatically.

Another general specification is that for every button (main or sub), there are three states: “Up”, “Over” and “Down”. You could use different images for each one of the three, but it is not necessary; as you will use an image for one of the states, it will be automatically used for the other two, if no other image was used.

The “Create Custom Skin” window is divided in three panels: “Main”, “Details” and “Preview”.

In the “Main” tab you can configure the basic elements of the menu: the main button and background, the sub button and background. As well there exists a “Custom Skin Guide” button which opens the product documentation in case you need it.

In the “Details” tab, more fine features of the menu can be set; here different images can be put for the first and last main or sub buttons (from design considerations) and a separator and an arrow can be added as well.

The “Preview” tab is identical to the preview section from the main interface; in case any error appears in the skin configuration, and error message will be displayed as you try to preview your file.
