Managing the menu across the website

In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to work with Creative DW Tabbed menu in case of a complex site with many webpages. In order to be able to do this tutorial, the first thing you have to do is install Creative DW Dropdown Menus extension on your computer; if you encounter any problems doing that, check out the "How to install an extension" tutorial. Another important thing you should consider is the creation of a website in Dreamweaver before you start the work; "How to create a website" can help you if any problems occur.

1. Firstly let's open Dreamweaver, create a new file and save it. Insert a Tabbed menu in your page.

2. Create a menu now and click OK in the menu settings window. If you have any problems doing this read the „How to create a menu (quick version)” tutorial.

3. Click on the Edit Tabbed Menu and you will see a change in the menu settings window. The option „Update all pages” is a key-option for menu management across the website. If we select this option, the changes will be applied on every menu inserted on various pages from the website.

4. Two very useful tools are on the right side of the insert bar: Insert Existing Menu and Delete Menu. If we are in a new webpage of our site and we want to insert a menu created before, we just select Insert Existing Menu and choose the menu we want from the list. If we don't need a menu anymore we choose Delete Menu and we decide if we want to delete it only from the page were we are or from all the pages where it exists.
