After the general settings are configured, you can concentrate on the effects which will accompany the text item.

Text effects configuration
In the two drop-down lists (corresponding to IN/OUT effects) you can find many effects, each of them having a configuration panel you can access by pressing the “Customize effect” button situated next to your effect. The Duration parameter, measured in frames (one second equals thirty-five frames), specifies how much the corresponding effect will take to run. All the effects available with our product are described in the “Available text effects” chapter of the documentation.
“Text delay” refers to the time the text item will remain without any effect applied on it – between the IN and OUT effect.
By pressing the “Motion settings” button you can apply a motion effect; you can set a starting position, a zoom value for the start of the text item, a zoom value for the end of the item and an ending position. Also, you can set-up which type of motion will be applied. By enabling the “Random” option, the zoom values for the start and end of the item will be chosen randomly. If you enable the "No Motion" option, your text item will keep the center position of the show. A very important option available is the first option on the “Motion Settings” window – “Use Slide Motion”. If this is activated, the motion of the text item will be identical to the one of the image item and all configuration options will be disabled.

Text item motion settings
The last option available here is accessed by pressing the “Apply effect settings to all texts” button; this will reconfigure the effects options for all your text items the same as the options of the selected item. Because it's an irreversible step, a warning message will appear in order to be sure you want to do it.
